How do I enroll?
Fill out the form in our 'Contact Page' and we will be in touch within 48 hours. If you prefer, you can call us at 201.222.5722. We look forward to speaking with you!
Is there financial aid?
We do not offer financial aid, however, we do offer flexible payment plans so you can start your journey without paying it all upfront. Upon enrolling, a $500 registration fee is due. The rest can be paid with a payment plan and schedule that suits your personal needs.
If you prefer smaller monthly payments, we recommend enrolling a year in advance. By inquiring through our 'Contact Page', our Head of Admissions can provide you with information on payment options as we offer solutions for personal loans and credit cards.
Are makeup kits provided?
We intentionally do not include a makeup kit in your tuition — and here's why: makeup is deeply personal, and the right products depend on your technique, your personal preferences, and the clientele you want to build a business around. Instead of upcharging you for a generic kit, we educate you on how to choose, use, and even customize your own products — so you graduate knowing exactly what you need, not just what we handed you. A makeup kit is not a one-size-fits-all.
Does AMA offer certification upon graduation?
Upon completing the Master Program, you'll receive your AMA certification, which unlocks Pro Discounts of up to 40% off from various beauty brands. Some of the brands you can receive discounts from include Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty, Make Up For Ever, MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Alcone, Danessa Myricks, NYX and many more.
Additionally, you will receive access to our AMA Alumni Community Group where we inform students of opportunities, networking events, and more.
Does AMA offer job placement upon graduation?
AMA doesn't just teach you makeup artistry, we teach you how to build your own business around it. How we built AMA is how we teach you — all the lessons and no gatekeeping.
Our graduates go on to work in bridal, editorial, and the entertainment & celebrity world. You'll join an active alumni community that continues to open doors long after graduation. Typical opportunities can look like shadowing, assisting, or joining a freelancer team.
As far as AMA staff goes, every staff member is hired from within. We post job opportunities as soon as they are available — for the academy as well as AMA Weddings.
We never like to promise job placement as it is truly dependent on you — how you show up, your artist etiquette, your professionalism, and your work ethic.
What happens next after graduation?
Upon graduation, you will be added to our AMA Alumni Community Group where you can connect with other AMA students who have graduated from AMA. This is a great place to seek opportunities for freelancing, shadowing, assisting, and connecting.
By joining our community newsletter, you can stay in the know of upcoming community events, business classes, content days, makeup artistry workshops, and more - both paid and free. It is important to us that we continue to provide opportunities and resources to our AMA Community as they navigate through the real world.
